What reputable rescue would even consider posting this video in the first place? As one of my friends so succinctly put it on my wall, "If someone like Sally Schrock was watching this rescue's every move, they sure wouldn't have a dead horse in their video, and be begging for money on top of it". Well said, my friend.

Do you see what I see back there? |

You saw that right; that horse has been there for quite a while. |
Two people jumped down Christy's throat about the video. Here are their comments, as well Christy's:

Take notice of Christy's response: "Also I didn't see the horse until later as there was a great bit of activity and I was focusing on the horse that we were evaluating"... how ANY reasonable human could fail to notice a large carcass in the summer heat, a bloated and decomposing body that had to be befouling the very air with its stench is beyond me!Obviously the smell of money was far more powerful than a horse's putrid corpse--a poor animal that likely died from neglect at her bloody hands.Still want to donate your hard-earned money to this "rescue"?
Id also be concerned at the weight the poor pony is carrying,
ReplyDeleteI too have an issue with this rescue....I have bought two arabians through her, sent in my money and apps...not long ago I saw another I wanted to rescue....couldn't get an app in on time, horse went to slaughter......make sence to me? NO!!I have also donated cash to her but never again! I thought a true rescue kept your apps on file....I'm not saying they are not helping SOME horses but more could be saved if they would change their way of thinking...I'm sorry, a chance is a chance....
ReplyDeleteReally?? Who wouldn't notice that horse in the background?? A blind person maybe.

ReplyDeleteThe horse the girl was on seemed distracted. Probably smelled death. She needs to loose about 80 pounds before she gets on another horse that size. Disgusting.
ReplyDeleteShe tries so hard to justify the situation by saying it passed during an auction. Well okay no problem there "BUT...." if you knew anything about horse you DA then you would know that they mourn the passing and to have it right there in front of them to see is not only sadistically SICK but morally wrong and F_@K#D UP!! You shouldn't be ashamed of yourself you should not be permitted to own or better yet be around horses period !!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've never liked AC4h, I've always smelled bullshit whenever they post there "we need to save this horse, donate money" crap. I added them on my Facebook originally because I love horses and saw they are a "rescue". Then I started noticing how shady they were, and the FBI incident was the nail in the coffin. I commented on a video where they were laughing about a pony, it was a white pony with dirt on him, the lady obviously knew nothing about horses and stated she didn't know the color of the horse, she said he might be pinto when he was just clearly dirty. The pony then proceeded to try and buck the child off his back, the lady said "aww isn't that cute, he's playing".....really? He's playing? Anyway, I comment that they are fake and don't know much about horses, I also mentioned the FBI incident and they proceeded to block me and not allow me to comment on their page, they then stated they will not tolerate liars and haters posting on their page. Really? I hate this so called "rescue". I've heard horror stories about them, were people buy a horse and when they pick the horse up its either really skinny or isn't even the same animal, some have even had white paint on them to mimic the original horses markings. Please someone have this place closed down!
ReplyDeleteI operate a 501(c)3 Non-Profit myself, in Northern California, and I would NEVER have a carcass lying around at any time for any reason! If there is ever a horse that dies... for any reason... It would immediately be buried in a respectful manner. This is sickening to me!!
ReplyDeleteThings are not always what they seem. Some years ago we had a very sweet horse who was up in age. She was kept in pasture during the day and in stall at night. One day when my husband was at work and I had no car (she was boarded) she passed away in the pasture. It was a hot summer day when this happened. I got a phone call from the owner of the place she was at to get her out of there quickly. I had no idea of what to do or who to call so I started looking up in phone book and calling people I know. I finally found a rendering plant that would take her but it would not be until the next day. This is not how I wanted her to go, It broke my heart but I had no other choices at that time. I never even got to see her again to say good by. Sometimes things just happen and not the way we would like.
ReplyDeleteOK - I checked out their FB - and it breaks my heart to see so many obviously former show horses being dumped along the way by their former A-hole elitist owners. This rescue represents literally - a horse's last chance, even kill buyers are putting horses up for sale there. The horse she is on is beautiful. she obviously puts them through a thorough handling check to make sure these horses are SAFE as posted. unlike so many seedy trainers and breeders out there who will sell to anyone with enough money. and the fact is THAT'S often the start of this horrible pipeline of unwanted/unridable horses. novices taking on way too much both financially and skill wise than they can manage. Dead bloated horse in the background - very unfortunate. Even more so the slime who dumped a mare in foal at an auction. Give this woman a break. She isn't the guilty one of dumping horses, she's guilty of trying to give them a second chance.
ReplyDeleteWith all due Eileen, the deceased horse is not lying in a pasture but next to the manure bin and about 50 feet from open stalls. This facility deserves no excuses and no donations. Report them and get them shut down.
ReplyDeleteI am in no way in favor of horse slaughter in its current form. It is horrible and inhumane. However, blaming people at the end of the line is not logical. There would be no Brian Moores if people were not over-breeding! There were more than 100,000 thoroughbreds sent to slaughter last year. Yet, there are still state-funded breeding incentives, that's right folks! States are PAYING people to breed more mediocre racehorses destined for slaughter. There should be yearly limits set on all breed registrations. Stop blaming the poor, look to the rich. There would be no horses to slaughter if the tax loopholes, the racing industry, and the other money making schemes weren't available for the disgusting and irresponsible elite. Go to the source when looking for someone to blame. What is the argument to reduce abortion?? That's right, it's birth control!!
ReplyDeleteYes things "just happen" BUt you dont make a video and say you cant SEE IT THERE, and if you cant get a dead horse buried you at the very least cover it with a friggin tarp. You cannot tell me both the rider, the horse and the camera B***CH didnt know it was there. Its just they are so used to seeing this sh** its like furniture to them.
ReplyDeleteall u people need to stop the bull with out her all the horses would be dead like that one. give her a break she doing the best she can
